Chairman of Novaster’s Board of Advisors. He holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering and is a National Awardee for Excellence in Academic Performance. Holder of a Master’s Degree in Operations Research (Complutense University of Madrid). He was granted a Fulbright scholarship at the University of Stanford (California), where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Science. Holder of a Certificate in Business Management by INSEAD (Fontainebleau). Chairman and CEO of Hewlett Packard in Spain, Portugal and France for 30 years. Honorary doctorate by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Chairman of the Special Study Commission for the Development of the Information Society in Spain. Thanks to his work at this commission, the Council of Ministers awarded him the Great Cross of Civil Merit. He has received a host of awards and recognitions; he is chairman or member of several Boards of Directors; and has special vocation towards academic institutions. He is a great expert in Information Society, Competitiveness and Industrial Innovation, Business Ethics and Human Resources and Knowledge Management.

Chairman of Novaster’s Board of Advisors for America. Distinguished Emeritus Professor in Economics and Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. The Professor has been selected among the 50 most influential intellectuals of Latin America and Spain, es-global 2015. Finalist for the Prince of Asturias Award for Social Sciences in 2009 and 2014; visiting lecturer/researcher and speaker in over 40 countries and author of 92 books and 300 academic articles published in 7 languages in 34 countries. Ex-Chairman of the Latin American Studies Association, member of the US National Social Insurance Academy and member of the editorial boards of six academic journals. He received the award of Decent Work from the International Labor Organization, also awarded to Nelson Mandela. World leader in the field of Social Security and Pension Reforms Research throughout the American continent. International Consultant for UN agencies (ILO, ECLAC, WHO, etc.), as well as for the World Bank and the Inter American Development Bank (BID) among others.

Danilo Montero Rodríguez

Head of Novaster’s Board of Advisors for America


Head of Novaster’s Board of Advisors for America; honor graduate (MBA) at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico. He has been General Superintendent of Stocks for Costa Rica, and member of the boards of directors of the most important local financial entities. He has vast experience in stock markets and in financial and risk analysis.
